I recently moved out of an apartment since the company doubled the rent. They claim I owe them $150 for the apartment being left dirty which is untrue. I don't want to pay this on a matter of principle but the new apartment place claims my rental history is not OK.

How can I dispute this? Is the rental history different than a credit score?

The best way to circumvent this problem ((and I know its too late now), before you move out take pictures of every room to prove you are leaving it in tip top shape.

This sounds like 'big bros. is watching you' and I personally have never heard of 'rental history'.
