    TP discharge pipe
Any code requirements, or advantage/disadvantage on the type of pipe used for the water heater TP discharge? My old heater used PVC and that’s what I used on the new heater. I’ve also seen copper used, mostly in new homes, I guess because the length of copper pipe was available.

Here in Kentucky, the code requires either copper, cpvc, or galvanized piping.

I use CPVC because it is considerably cheaper materially and more quick to install than copper.
