    Hopelessly self conscious
A guy likes me, but I am so self conscious, that I don't believe it's really happening. I feel way too ugly to have a guy like me. I could be blowing this whole thing!

Don't be silly. Try to be friendly back and say something small to start the conversation. Always smile. If he is interested you will know. Good Luck!

Well if you like him then go for it! I'm not sure how to explain this but the best thing I can think of to tell you is that NOBODY is too good for you or better than you in anyway. Especially not because of looks. Just because someone is "attractive" does NOT mean that they are better than you and that you don't deserve to be with them. He obviously is interested in you, so he clearly does not find you un-attractive. Just keep that in mind. I had the same problem for a very long time. DO NOT lower yourself. Especially over something so superficial.

    I wish
Just keep talking to each other and getting to know each other better. As you get to know him better, you will realize how he really feels about you.

Just enjoy the time you talk and spend together. Things will take its course one way or another.

I am not a materialistic person, and I am not saying that your appearance is anywhere near as important as your personality. However, sometimes a change in your look brings about a big boost in confidence!
I would recommend that you and your friends go out on a shopping night after saving up some money. Don't worry about designer labels, just go for the stuff that you and your friends thinks looks good on you. Try completely changing your haircut. A big change in your appearance tends to give you a big boost in confidence, especially when you know your friends think you look good!
At your age, having friends are more important than having a boyfriend, they are too young, too immature to appreciate inner beauty.

    Good luck.
