    Period Problems
    Hi, I am 26 years old and I am not sexually active. I have a few questions about my period, What is the normal length for a period? I have severe cramps and most of the time I am so tired. Sometimes my period will stop for a day or two and then come back with severe bleeding and cramps. I take pain relievers when I can and I have tried everything that is suggested online. Most of the time when I am on my period I can use a super plus tampon and I have to change it in about an hour and half. It seems that the older I get the worst my periods become. Please let me know what you suggest I do. Thanks.:confused:

    I have had a lot of the same problems. The answers for me were 2 really. Going on birth control pills Helped regulate my periods. I had periods lasting anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks. Both of which I hear are pretty normal because everyone is different. I also had ovarian cysts that were causing the problems. As it turns out they were harmless and have since gone away. But then I have also had 6 children and hear pregnancy will cause cysts to shrink or go away all together. You would definitely need to see your OB/GYN to know for sure. It's a good idea to go anyway to find out what solutions they may suggest in general.

    I had my tubes tied after my second child but got back on the pill to get my cycle straight.

    Also, exercising regularly like walking or elliptical will help with the fatigue.
