I have lived in my apartment for 2 years. I will be leaving at the end of the month. Could my landlord keep my deposit to replace the carpet in the apartment?

    Did you wreck the carpet?

Did not wreckthe carpet. It has a couple of little stains. I plan to have the carpet cleaned before we vacate. I just don't want them to try and keep the deposit for new carpet. When I moved in the carpet looked brand new.

Well light wear is to be expected, the carpets won't look brand new after 2 years in any apartment or home, so take pictures of the condition of everything, after you do a cleaning and shampoo the carpets (if your worried about the stains being bad) and they shouldn't keep it.
