Will a quick calim deed work to reclaim a property?
I sold a house to Mike on March 7 for $240,000. He has only paid my $1000 instead of 2 payments of $1600 each. I have carried the note back in full w/ no down payment. He is moving and has listed the house for sale. I want it back in my name. Will a Quick Claim Deed work in this situation?

    Thank you,
    Donna

Yes, if Mike will sign the house back over to you that is all it takes,

If Mike will not signit over to you, you will have to foreclose on the property.

    dvial,

A Quit Claim Deed is an instrument used by someone to voluntarily transfer ownership. So while I'm not really qualified to say if it's the right document, I would point out that it definitely requires his cooperation; and the way you've described the situation, it doesn't sound like you have that.
