    Poverty in india
I need the percent of people who are living under the poverty line.
    Like for example..

In 2004, 3 million people in delhi were living under the poverty line.

Any info on any state in india would be nice :)

Quote the United Nations Development Index, which is viewed as one of the most reliable sources of such information. This Index is produced annually by the UN Development Programme (UNDP). Link to the online versions of the latest Index:

    Human Development Report 2006

A quick search shows that current data on India shows that between 1990 and 2004, 34.7% of the total population was living on less that US$1 per day.

Who cares! Why not focus on the poverty in AMERICA! That is where I am! Is that not where you are? Support your own country or give me some tax relief and move to india! More people in America are under the poverty line ,do your research on them, it'll make for a better grade!
