Hello everyone!

I am wondering if someone can answer me this question: I am going for an interview at a gym called Bally Total Fitness. If I get this job will I def need a drug test? I know every place is different but do they usually always test you at gyms and stuff? The last time I smoke was April 28th I don't know when I will be tested but probably soon if the interview is on Monday. I haven't been smoking a lot recently either only a little on an occasional weekend. Would it still show up in the drug test even if I only smoked a little bit? If someone can let me know that would be awesome!

Yes, it will show up if you have smoked. Does not matter if you smoked a little or a lot, just that you smoked.

But do you think I will be tested if I work at the gym?

Yes, most fitness places test, more because of other drugs, but will for all drugs. I will say this, if you are looking for a job, stop the drugs, most places test now adays and after give randam drug tests, Normally if they hire you, they will arrange to send you that day or the next after you are hired to be tested.

Yes, I agree, it is more likely that it will show up. Working at a drug treatment center at one point, I would hear this story often. Sometimes it would not show after a few weeks, but that was rare. And taking anything to help it out of your system can end up making it worse sometimes. Either way, it is russian roulette. I agree, stop smoking!

OK so, the last time I smoked was April 28th, today is May 7th, and my interview is today! What do I do if they tell me I got the job but need to be tested! Do I say OK? How can I pass the test if I do need one? If I need to get tested it probably won't be until next week sometime, so I have time to run and drink lots of water to get it out of my system... and by the way... I do not usually do drugs lol... it was only on occasion and I don't smoke during the summer at ALL so I should be fine... I just have to pass this test if I need one. If the manager tells me I need one I think I might just start to freak out rite there. I really want this job and need this job.

Well if they want you to take a drug test, just be sure to study before hand.
In case it is not that "kind" of test, it is going to be at least 3 weeks (or four) before you pass for pot. But if they want you to take a test you should tell them that you got another job and skip the test, that way you might be considered later. There is no real way to cheat the test and usually they will want you to go within 24 hours of being hired.

Yes you say OK, and go for the test, it has been a while, assuming you have not used since the 28th it may be possible you will pass. All you can do is try. And if you do fail it is a lesson learned the hard way.

So if I fail will I get in trouble? Or will I just not get the job?

NO you will not get in trouble but you will not get the job if you fail the test. Have you tried a herbal cleanser that removes drugs from your system. It is EXCELLENT and will flush and clean the body from drugs, you use it the day before you take the test and it DOES work. I think it may be a little expensive but I guess it depends on the brand. If you really want the job, and think that you have a chance of getting it I recommend the cleanser. Good Luck!

You will not get the job if you fail, that's not getting into trouble but it is kindof when you need a job.

... Pot can be detected in your urine up to 30 days after you last smoked, depending how often you smoke! IF you rarely smoke it, could very well came up as a negative test result. IF you a still worried you can alswya s buy a detox drink at GNC, and drink it before you tested. The employer must tell you if, they plan on giving you a pre employment drug test.

Id go take a personal drug test first... and if you pass. Don't smoke and take the company one. If you don't pass... put off the interview for a month or so.

The other thing is that a fitness place who gives drug tests would like to hire someone who is drug free. Be honest with yourself, If you are smoking pot do you really think this is a good fit for you as far as a job is concerned? Suggesting that you should manipulate the system, is not being fair to you or your prospective employer. I wouldn't suggest you do something wrong to cover another wrong that you have done.

Thc only stays in your system 3-7 days for infrequent. THC binds to fat cells, so the duration of time that it stays in your system is proportinal to you weight. If you are skinny, most probably you can pass your test if it test is more than a week after the last time you smoked. If you are scared you are going to fail, do a detox program, and take niacin pills. Also eat a lot of fatty foods the days prior to your test, as it will give your fat cells a "fresh supply" of fat with no thc in it. Try not to exercise heavily before you take the test. And as always, the best way to stay clean is to stay sober
