    Worried about no pregnancy symptoms
I am currently 5 weeks pregnant and am feeling worried because I do not really feel like I have any pregnancy symptoms. I have had a miscarriage before (about one year ago) so I think that I am just overly stressed that it might happen again. Is it uncommon not to have any pregnancy symptoms at this point?

It is very common for some women not to have pregnancy symptoms. Count yourself as one of the lucky ones!!

I was fat and happy with my first kid - no symptoms at all except a widening waistband.

The second one punished me for having no problems the first time. I had the whole kit and kaboodle of morning sickness, swollen ankles, sore breasts, etc.

Count your blessings that you are free and clear of any complaints so far. It may be that you'll start getting them soon, and then you'll be thinking " why was I worried. I miss those days" hah. You might be a lucky one, and never get any. My mom was that way. No pregnancy complaints with ALL 5 kids. I on the other hand have had terrible morning sickness with both my pregnancies. Some people just get lucky. And sometimes it just takes time to show up. Or as Emland said, you might have clear sailing with this one, and end up having terrible morning sickness with the next, and end up worrying if its normal to have so MANY symptoms. ;0)Good luck, and congrats on the pregnancy.

I am currently 10 weeks pregnant (tomorrow) and I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms in the very beginning. I had sore breasts starting around 5 1/2 to 6 weeks, then I started getting morning sickness around 7 1/2 weeks. It's not too bad, except for the fact that you feel like you have the flu! Enjoy the time you have without symptoms, cause right now I am counting the days until I'm out of the first trimester! I know it may not go away immediately upon entering the 2nd, but I'm getting to the point that I have a couple of bad days, then I'll have a good one. Hopefully you won't get any, but if you do you probably won't feel them until 6 weeks or later.

You are one of the lucky few, cross your fingers and hope you stay that way!

Yes, most women don't experience any symptoms until 6 weeks or later, about the time you are finding out you are pregnant... but with the testing becoming more and more sensitive, women are learning they are pregnant earlier and then getting worried. Unless you start having bad (continuous) cramping in your lower center abdoman or to one side, and heavy bleeding, you are most likely not miscarrying. I would say you are either lucky, or in the next week or so , you will be wishing you were feeling like you are this week...

I am also 5 weeks, and my symptoms just started last week... sore breasts, no morning sickness, pulling in abdomen...

I had a miscarrige about a year ago as well. I know think I am pregnant but I don't have any symptoms other than big belly, headaces and discharge. I wouldn't get to worked up about it. When I was pregnant last time I was 8 weeks before I found out and still had no symptoms except a large stomach. If you feel concerned I would go to the doctors. Or maybe I'm just overstressed as well about this pregnancy. But you can never be to sure. Good luck
