I am helping my daughter with a paper on Intel vs AMD. We are stuck. We need the bad points on each I want no answers just need pointed in the right so I can her find and write about the answers. Thanks

Intel:
Most people like these because they are well known. The Intel company is ahead of AMD in actual clock speed. On the downside, they are more expensieve and not as efficient.

AMD:
You can usually get these processors at a fraction of the cost. They run better at the same clock speeds (the ATHALON XP 2000+ is actually 1.67 GHz but it performs like an intel p4 2 GHz). On the downside, the clock speeds are a little behind intel and they generate more heat (although this has been becoming less and less of an issue over the years).
