    Impulse water meters
Can an impulse water meter malfunction and give an extremely high usage reading and would there be a second meter in the house with that type of meter.

They sure can, Mine did last year. There's only one water meter on your service. Call the water department out to check and replace it or could it be possible that you have a hidden leak? When everything's shut off in the house does the little pointer creep around? Back to you. Tom
