You shouldn't but I would back up my favorites just in case.

You can't really uninstall internet explorer, its built into windows, but if you really want your bookmarks, go to;

C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Favorites


Replacing "yourusername" with whatever your login name is. That's where your bookmarks are.
