I have a 2003Craftsman tractor w/ Kohler 27 hp engine. It will crank but not turn over. If I spray starter fluid in the carb, it starts right up and runs until it evaporates ( 5-10 sec). A big clue! Then I'm back to square one. I have added fresh fuel, new plugs, new fuel line and fuel pump(which I didn't need). I used carb cleaner and cleaned the main/top fuel "pinholes",but did not totally dissasemble it. Fuel is definitely getting to the carb from the fuel line in, but not kicking it over. Any idea which area of the carb I might look at? A buddy mentioned a stuck float, but who knows... thanks!

There will be a wire going to the bottom of the carb hooked to a fuel cut solenoid, with the key in the "on" position you should hear it click. If it does not see if you are getting 12 V to it. Replace if bad.
