I was wondering because my period usually starts on th 20th of each month. I just recently started having sex again and my period has been 8 days late. I have had sore breast, frequent urination, weird cravings , constantly sleeping and moodswings. Since the 20th I have had small cramps but no bleeding along with a weird feeling in my stomach and headaches. Today I started bleeding irregulary. At times it was little to no blood and at other times it was a very dark red or brown discharge that came heavily. Im going later today I believe to take a pregnany test but if I'm bleeding is it a chance that I'm not pregnant?:confused: :confused:

Some bleeding in early pregnancy can be normal. (Typically spotting) If you are having bleeding it is either your period coming late, or you are pregnant and need to get to the doctor. Heavy bleeding is a sign of miscarriage. Please go see your doctor asap!

You can get an implantation bleed early in a pregnancy which happens around the time that your period would have been due. An implantation bleed is usually lighter and shorter than a normal period.
