I'm 4 weeks pregnant and cramping... is that normal?

I experienced cramping for the first 12 weeks, cramping very similar to period pain.. My OB told me that it was perfectly normal, especially first pregnancies and it was due to the ligaments stretching and all the other different things happening to your body during this time. But in saying that, 4 weeks is early days.. stress can contribute to miscarriage so you are better off just not stressing and going with the flow.

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy!

If your concerned then go to your doctor, but if you do not have any other symptoms. Try to calm yourself and relax. Stress can contribute to things going wrong. Please if your worried then see your doctor but as Catherine said it is normal feelings to feel when your pregnant.

I had cramping, but all that was causing it was the stress. But like Catherine and Jesushelper said, please if you think something is wrong it is better safe than sorry to go see your doctor and discuss what is happening. They might be able to give you some pamphlets about pregnancy pains and such, if not check out websites and see what they suggest is wrong. Hope you continue to be healthy for your sake and the baby's.
