Honey programmable thermostat not working on "AUTO" position. Air conditioning will come on with "ON" switch, however, when on "AUTO" thermostat shows all functions in display but I can't adjust temp or change settings at all or get display to go away. The power did go out for a few minutes this evening. Could that have done something? I am clueless regarding these things. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try removing the batteries (if it has any ) turn your breaker off for the air handler for a minute or two, then turn it back on and re-install the batteries. This may reset the thermostat. You also may have to reprogram it again.
