When I turn on my computer the fans will run and everything but my computer will not boot up. I just get a black screen with a message on it saying something like Samsung Edie P/N 3240703425 overdrive BIOS. I can't even get into my BIOS to do antying it just sticks on this screen. My fans in my case and everything are running.

I tried my video and sound card in other computers and they both work. I tried using different memory in mine and it takes me to the same screen. I hooked up my hard drive to another computer and it tried to boot on that computer. I'm stuck now between my power supply or motherboard... Any help would be appreciated.

OK unplug all your periferals e.g video card sound card hardrives cdroms the onlything I won't hooked up is the cpu motherbord and memory (if you don't have an onbord video card plag in your agp one or pci-e card what ever you have) now try turning it on if it gets past that screen then you know its not your mobo, cpu or ram, and it could be your cdroms, HD or anything else pluged in. also you should remove your bios battery and power from the computer to reset the bios it my just be a setting...

Computer won't boot up,

Before you do anything, check and make sure there is not a floppy disk or cd in your CD or CDRW, if there is, most all computers won't boot up.
If that doesn't work, go into your BIOS and change your boot up from FLOPPY to CD Rom, click F-10 to save changes, then turn off your computer and turn it back on, if it still doesn't boot, go back to BIOS and change back to FLOPPY boot up. As the other persons advised you, that way can do harm to your PC, another problem can be your little 3220 BIOS battery, the chrome battery about the size of a quator, turn off the PC, unplug it from the power, remove the BIOS battery, turn on the PC, after you turn it on and is on just for a mnute or so,turn it off and replace the battery back in place, the + should be facing you. If none of these things work, then you try and unplug the CD Rom first after you turn off your PC, restar your PC to see if it reboots, if not, hook your CD Rom back up and do the same thing with the Floppy drive, unhook and restart each piece of equipment on your PC, also do the same with a dialup modem if you have one. If all of this fails, you either have a bad Hard Drive or the PC needs to be reformatted.

The best thing to do is to have it reformatted, that will get rid of all viruses unles there is a bad one in your hard drive memory, If you have Windows Home Edition or Pro, you can put in your Windows disk and reformat it yourself if you have good experenence with PC's. if not DON'T try it, you can easly create two partitions and then you have a real problem, are you anywhere near West Virginia?

Umm he can't even get past bios that means there is something stoping the boot sequence thuse something is wrong with one of his components...

If you can't get into BIOS in may well mean your Motherboard has bit the dust.
Was there anything you did before your PC crashed?

1) Re-seat your RAM
2) Test
... if still a no go...
3) re-seat CPU (make sure to reapply thermal grease)
4) Test
... if still a no go...
5) New MoBo

I'm actually pretty good with computers myself this problem just got me for some reason never seen anyting like it. Anyway how do you format a PC I know you can format a hard drive. Not sure what your talking about on that one. If your talking about resetting my bios I already jumpered it out so it would and removed the cmos battery. I'm actually going to test my power supply since I was told it may be what's causing my problems.

DUDE! Read the post before giving advice. If the computer won't even POST, then you can not format it, and even if the drive was formatted in a different system then put back in this one, it would do NO good because the computer will not POST! It is obviously a hardware issue and not windows because it never gets the chance to GET to windows. If you have so much "experence" then you would know this!

I completely agree with Vader here.
No POST then there is NO WAY you can rebuild it.
