I have a gas furnace that runs the ac and heating... should the pilot light come on when the ac comes on? Everything sounds like it's working except there is very little air coming out of the vents and the temperature has risen drastically... is it something wrong with the blower or the pilot light on the furnace? Thanks!

First, have you checked your furnace filter lately? Do the burners light when you turn the a/c on? I need a little more info.?

OK... I changed the filter and it was working great... then I noticed this evening that it was not blowing out the vents... went to the outside ac unit... it was running great but discover the entire tube that blows back into the house is covered with thick white frost/ice... now what?? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Shut the a/c off, your coil is froze. Turn the blower to ON cont. that will help thaw the coil

I'm sorry to tell you that you may have to hire someone, chances are your coil is dirty, the unit is low on freon or your furnace blower is having issues, you may check to see if the indoor blower is running. If it is then I'd say you may need freon

If you do choose to call a pro. Make sure that the system is off, this way it will save you time and money, The serviceman won't have to spend an hour to thaw the coil. If I can help anymore just let me know...
