    Venting

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Tom,
Im planning a plumbing project, I know how I'm going to run my waste pipes, Im not too sure on the venting. The toilet is no problem since its going right into the 3" main stack which is about 8" inches away, the sink is the furthest from the main and I plan to install a tee and dry vent it up to the attic into the 3" main stack, the sink drain will be a 2" PVC running to the shower with a tee and then run to the 3" main stack. the sink drain is about 2.5 feet from the shower drain, the shower drain is about 3 feet from the 3" main stack, my question is do I need a dry vent the shower or will the dry vent by the sink be enough.

    Thanks,
    John

"The sink drain will be a 2" PVC running to the shower with a tee and then run to the 3" main stack."
If the shower drain connects to the lavatory drain on the way to the stack then it will be wet vented by it and another vent will not be needed.
Do not use a tee underground. Use a combination wye and eighth bend instead. Good luck, Tom
