    Natural Stress Easer
Hello, I am looking to find a natural stress reliever. Obviously I am not asking for anything illegal, but maybe there is an herbal stress or anxiety assistant out there I can try. I don't want to pop pills or take something that could end up being addictive. Thanks.

A hot bubble bath, bath salts, a quiet house, and a nice long book works for me! :)

Some ideas for natural stress relief include, but are not limited to,

    Natural Stress Relief:

_ Walk away from the stressful situation.
_ Take a hot bubble bath.
    _ Use aromatherapy.
_ Have one glass of wine.
_ Listen to subliminal tapes with a relaxation theme.
_ Take a walk in nature.
_ Talking to a friend who is not critical or pessimistic.
    _ Try yoga.
    _ Get plenty of sleep.
_ Exercise three to six times a week.
_ Eat healthful meals with plenty of fruits, vegetables and lean proteins.
    _ Drink water.
_ Forgo alcohol, caffeine and tobacco.
_ Take time for quiet time every day to relax, read or pray.

Vitamins include natural powerhouse ingredients such as St. John's Wort, GABA, Valerian, Lavandula, 5-HTP, B Vitamins, amino acids and specifically targeted micro-nutritionals. These ingredients are shown effective for natural stress relief without the serious side effects commonly associated with stress relief medication. Sipping chamomille tea can be stress relieving.

There are many great books out there on herbal medicines and treatments for stress and anxiety. "Herbal Medicine" by Dian Dincin Buchman is a pretty decent book. Check your local library for resources.

For me personally, meditiation is a big stress reliever. It takes practise and time but the long term success is very amazing. Your outlook, your thoughts everything become so much more clearer and more positive.

    Best luck.
