    Puppy that will not eat
    Hello
I picked up a puppy this week on the side of the road it was and still so skin and bones. She ate well for the first two days I brought liver so her red blood cells can get stronger. She just loved it. I desided I was going to go get her dewormed since I had a older pup. The vet dewormed her with a pill and also a liquid that he shot into her mouth I also got some vitamin/mineral supplements for her. She ate fine yesterday morning loved her liver bits in her dry dog food and that evening when I put down her food she did not touch it I tried just liver then some chicken breast ,BBQ what dog turns away that? She has had some soft stool and she vomited that evening I took her to the vet and she is just lying there. I would go to the vet but I wasn't going to keep her. But each day its just getting harder and harder to let go of her in this condission. I don't mean back to the streets but my husbend will do the deed. She is so cute and I have three other dogs and three children so I don't want to speen too mush but I will spend something do you might know what I could so for her?

I am afraid she is sick and needs medicine from the vet. It is hard to ask you to spend money on a sick puppy that is somebody else's fault. I am afraid her only chance is the vet. I wish I had a better answer for people like you that care.

Frankly, slimpup, I find your question confusing. It was very good of you to take the pup into your home and vet it. But, I don't know what you mean by " do the deed." I think, if you cannot keep the puppy, you need to bring it into your local ASPCA, Humane Society, or whatever rescue is in your area. They will make certain that the puppy gats the proper care. Not knowing how old the puppy is, giving him liver and people food might have been the wrong move. I just don't know. Please call the vet you brought him in to and speak with him about what is going on. He/she knows all the rescues in the area and may be able to make a recommendation to you, or tell you what your options are. You are a good person for trying to help this poor dog.
