I purch a Harbor Breeze Fan w/remote in Oct of 06. It worked fine for about a week, we took that back and got another one just like it. Now, it is doing the same thi. ng. Fans don't move and the motor just hums. I checked Lowe's and they said I would have to contact the company. It was just out of their "in store warranty" and to top that off, they don't carry that particular one any longer. If you notice in the stores, it seems they don't have too many with a remote which is probably the issue. Can you give me instructions on how to rewire it without the remote to see if this is the issue? I have fans in my home by other companies which run 24-7 and have been up since 1995. Obviously this is a BAD part on Harbor Breeze and they should recall this model! What do you think? CAn you help w/the rewiring to see if it's the remote function?:
