My 5 month old daughter passed away from heart failure and it was due to all of these complications because the doctors couldn't get her on a bypass machine quick enough. So how long should it take to get somebody on this type of machine?

I guess the questions is where were you, if you were in a community hospital in a town of 5000 people or a major medical center. Was she already in a hospital, or just taken into a ER.

A doctor has to determine this type of treatment was needed, and often that is a judgement call of a doctor based on the info they are looking at.
I am not sure anyone other an another medical professional in that same area can give a really good answer.
