Where can I find a swimming pool for my dogs?
Can Someone Tell Me Where I Can Find A Swimming Pool For My Dogs?
I Have A Sheltie And An Italian Greyhound. I Would Like To Put A Pool In My Backyard But The Association Will Not Allow A Large People One.
I Would Like To Find A Rigid Pool Being My Boys Love To Swim, Yet There Is No Place For Them To Do It. I Live In Florida.
    Thanks:

I do not know a lot about dog pools. But there are dog lakes. I just took my dogs to one in the city last week.

What are you thinking of? Some people give their dogs children's wading pools. You could look at landscaping pool at the home centers. If you have farm oriented stores in your area, look at some of their water tanks.

Benson, I am sure you don't need me to tell you how very hard it is when you are dealing with an Association. They usually have set guidelines. If moving to a place where you have the freedom to do as you wish is not an option, if I were you, I would write them a very nice letter asking them what those guidelines are. Make sure you are sweet and respectful. Kill them with kindness. Tell them that you want to find a way to keep your dogs safe and cool during the hot summer months to avoid heatstroke. Ask them to please give you size specifications in writing as to how large a pool is allowable because you want to ensure that you do not break the rules. Once you have something in writing, you can comfortably go out and buy the largest sized pool they will allow. You may have to make due with a children's wading pool, as labman suggests. But, it will be better than nothing. When you have the opportunity to take your boys for a real swim in the lake or the ocean, then do that as often as you can. :)

Great answer Ruby, likely focusing on the real issue. Hope you will be around more this weekend. I will be at a convention all weekend. Even if our friends are ready to have her back, I will beg to take their 2 month old Golden with us.

Thank you labman. I will try my best to stop in as often as possible. Have a great time this weekend.

I also just reread this question. Benson, once you know how large a pool you are allowed, depending on the size, I think you have Walmarts, Kmarts, or Big Lots in Florida? If you don't, whatever discount stores that are along those lines should be your best bet.

You can find an incredible swimming play pool for your dogs on onedogonebone.com. They have pools in the shape of a bone for larger dogs and a pool in the shape of a dog paw for smaller dogs. Really cool! Check it out.

We just bought a 15 foot above ground pool from Kmart.
It doesn't need any sort of approval or fencing because it is above ground, we have put removable steps up to it as well so the dogs can only get in when they are supervised.
It has an inflatable ring around it which makes the pool rise as you put water in it.
    Pool cost: $115
Steps cost: $0 (scraps of wood we had)
