I would say, first, I need to know your style preference... country, casual, modern, classic, or a mix of some or all of these (eclectic). Then, there is the issue of all the different hues of Mocha. Each manufacturer has their own color for this same "mocha" name. Is it a brown with gold undertones, or more of an espresso (very little red or gold) brown? Give me a little more info... and I'm sure I can help you choose a paint color that will help you enjoy your basement, and couch.

You could go with a number of colours, depending upon your taste. A rich, creamy colour (like evaporated milk) would be a nice contrast. If you want more colour, try olive green or terra cotta (like a plant pot), or even mustard or tangerine. Walls done in a creamy butterscotch colour (or maybe a little lighter) wigh a splash of olive green could be real nice.

Would love to hear what your final decision is! Sounds like you could really have fun with this.

    Hugs, Didi
