How old is your home, how large and what material is your piping? Are you on city water or well? Any idea of the water pressure entering your home? Back to you.
If its just the shower diverter you may want to rewasher them and make sue they are not full of rust.
If it takes 10 minutes for hot water to come out you need a new dip tube for your hot water heater.
My home built 1978
City
No idea of preesure is
I don't think that's what Steve meant. The dip tube doesn't control the heat, the thermostat controls the temp.. The dip tube pulls water from the middle of the tank so it won't catch any cold water entering. That being said, a dip tube will not cause a trickle of water in two baths. I would at this point the main and remove the valve stems from one bath. Hold a rag over the opening and have afriend open and quickly close the main. If you don't get great pressure coming out of the valve body I'm leaning toward corroded galvanized pipes or some other blockage. If you do get great pressure with the stems removed them you have clogged valves that can be cleaned. Back to you.
It was the shower heads I replace them and the water came out just great
Your shower heads probably were cleanable. You may have not flushed your hot water heater in awhile. That will eliminate nearly all of your particulate. Attach a hose to the bottom drain and open the drain with the main still open. It will flush some rust and white stuff out in the first few moments. After a minute close the drain. Do this twice a year minimum.
