    Hello Xx:

Bummer, dude. Once you're charged and a warrant issued, it never goes away. The SOL runs from the time a crime is discovered until someone is charged. You've been charged.

    Statue or statute?

Just get a lawyer and turn yourself in. It's not going to go away.
But with a charge like this a lawyer is a must.

There's no "turning" myself in I have already went to a first appearance at court and my sentencing is coming up. I just wanted to know if its possible to run for a few years and then it will go away?

No, I wish. But unfortunately they won't go along. But don't sweat it, think about all the people who have gone threw this and made it. Besides the bondsman will come after you, and anyone who put up money will lose it.
    Things will work out.

Nope don't work that way, once you are charged the SOL stops, so all running does is add a new charge and get you more time.
