I bought a 1985 Dodge truck from a guy who put new plugs, plug wires, and distributor in. I checked the plug wirers and they were wrong so I put them in right. I had no spark so I bought a new coil, but I still don't have spark. I have power to the coil. I hooked the coil directly to the plug but sill no spark. Any answers??

Sounds like a distributer problem or a ignition module.

"and distributor in." This raises red flags! If he couldn't get the wires right, is that dist installed correctly? Is it the RIGHT dist. Is the rotor turning at all while cranking?
