    How can you find out when a computer was last started and shut down.

    You can check that from system restore but it will only show you the date and time when the system was actually working fine or when you have done some changes to the hardware or software...

    If you have Vista on the computer it will show you the date and time...

    You could install a program that takes a system snapshot with time stamps

    Go to Command prompt and type
    Systeminfo
    OR
    Net statistics workstation
