    Hi
    I am writing on behalf of my friend she came to uk with her marriage visa ,at the same time she got a scholarship continue her master studies,now she has separated with her husband ,the husband doesn't want to give her divorse,her visa will expire on dec and she wants to renew it as a student visa.. how can she do it. Help her.

    If the husband doesn't want a divorce, would he help her become a citizen? If they have been married 4 years she can apply for an indefinate leave clause to be added to the marriage visa. With this she would become a permanent resident and not have to leave once the divorce is finalized.
