My Laptop screen had started flickering occasionally after I re-formatted it. What can be done to stop the flickering... thanks...

Check for a updated video driver from the manufacturer.
Check for updates to power management and power control from the manufacturer.
Possibly the lcd has some brightness and darkness controls that have updated software.
