    E 17 lightbulb?
I purchased a ceiling fan that requires a type "E 17" lightbulb. HOWEVER, I cannot find this type of bulb. Home Depot says there is an adapter that allows a standard ceiling fan light bulb to connect. HELP!

An E 17 lamp base is better known as a Intermediate Base.

Here is one flood type lamp from GE that uses the E17 base:

Since Home Depot is not the best electrical supplier for other than the basic residential electrical products, you may need to check with a real electrical supplier for the lamp you need.

Funny how these stores sell this crap, and do not stock replacement parts.

Home Depot had a problem getting a steady supply of these intermediate base bulbs. All stores should have them now. In my store they are stocked on the candalabra light bay next to the specialty bulbs.

Note some packages have the designation A17 even though they are obviously not an 'A' base. These packages state 'Intermediate' so you should be able to spot them.
