The Al Smith Dinner is a charity event ;held by the Catholic Church .Traditionally every Presidential candidate attends . It raises money for disadvantaged children It is known for it's yuck it up light moments where attendees attempt to tell jokes and roast each other . The dinner is named after former Dem New York Guv Alfred E. Smith who grew up in poverty and went on to be the first Catholic presidential nominee

Kam the Sham has decided to not attend it this year.
The last Dem president candidate who did not attend was Walter Mondale in 1984 . Reagan graciously did not campaign in his home state and thus a clean sweep of electoral votes by Reagan was avoided . Reagan won 49 of 50 states in 1984.

Trump headlined the Al Smith dinner . Kam the Sham graced them with a virtual presence after she took heat for deciding to skip the event.
Trump's best line.... 'Tim Walz is not here but don't worry ;he'll say he was '. He also told Schmuck Shumer that the Dems have become so woke ;the Shumer could become the first female President. Otherwise Trump was not very funny .

Kam is the oligarchy representative . She was selected without a democratic vote even as they tout the fact that they want to save democracy. Her majesty would not deem to waste her time with commoners ;even rich NYers .

Kam the Sham graced the gathering with a virtual appearance. But as with most campaign events, she messed up. SNL is often not funny . She recruited them anyway and they were off even by their own standards. They decided to feature Molly Shannon's character Mary Katherine Gallagher ;who's schtick is making fun of Catholics. She said the Al Smith Dinner was not as important as the Last Supper and warned that all the remarks would be fact checked by Jesus. Kam for her part made a joke/jab at Trump that no one in attendance got. . She said making fun of Catholics at the dinner would be like “criticizing Detroit in Detroit” . That is a reference to Trump telling the Detroit Motor City’s Economic Club recently that the “whole country will end up being like Detroit” if Kam wins .

As he noted with NYC at a Catholic sponsored event attended by rich Catholics and Jews ;the appearance there should''ve been a "lay up " for Kam.
