This is a true statement .It was initiated early in the administration .

This policy by the administration violates existing law so when Walz and the Dems claim that Trump directed Repubs in the House to block a so called "bipartisan" bill (that would just have codified permitting illegal crossings ) ;it is fair to note that there are already laws regulating immigration that do NOT include the administration getting around the laws by flying them directly in.

To say that the Haitians are here with legal status is a big stretch.

Asylum law states that they have to apply from the first safe country they enter. It also states that they can only be granted asylum for political ,religious or racial persecution .It does NOT apply for someone who is seeking a better economic opportunity .

There is no way for migrants abroad to apply for asylum through an app. The Biden administration, however, established an app that allows more than 1,000 migrants a day to schedule appointments at a port of entry where they can be granted parole into the country through the CBP One app. The migrants can then apply for asylum once they are in the United States in immigration proceedings.
