The question had to be asked . The compliant press ;especially the White House correspondents who have more exposure to the President than any other people not connected directly with him , failed in their primary jobs to inform the public . Why ???

They are now admitting that they were involved in possibly the biggest cover up in our history . They saw as plain as day ;every day ;the mental decline of the President but were reluctant to tell the public.

They did not want to feed into the right wing narrative . Yeah they are really saying that.

All the White House reporters who spoke to CNN for this piece chose to speak anonymously so they could speak more freely about their relationship with the White House.
Yeah that's the ticket .They did not report the truth because it fed a truthful narrative that was politically inconvenient .
And still they claim that they have no hidden agenda .

Obviously, the President’s decline was a super hard story to report, even by those who wanted to get it, like the WSJ. Their story did not deliver, using mostly named GOP sources.
But I do think if enough reporters had pushed, the story was reportable. I worry that too many journalists didn’t try to get the story because they did not want to be accused of helping elect Donald Trump. I get that.

I get it too. It is why I call them the compliant press. They fail in their number 1 responsibility for a free press. Instead they became advocates and propagandists .
