    Unified Reich in context .
Again I'm burdened by history . For those that think German history began with the ascent of Hitler; the German word Reich mean realm. But it has come to be identified with 3 periods of German empire history. The 1st was the Holy Roman Empire run by Charlamagne . The German states were the principle territories .

    https://static1.squarespace.com/stat.../?format=1500w

    That lasted until Napolean .

The 2nd Reich was the unification of Germany into a single state . That happened after Otto Von Bismark led the German states in wars against Denmark ,Austria and France. Germany became an empire in 1871 . That lasted until their defeat in WWI 1918 .

The 3rd Reich most people are familiar with . That was Hitler's dictatorship.

The focus of this is the 2nd Reich. Bismark was no Hitler . In fact he is the founder of the modern welfare state . Ironically ,he did this in an attempt to prevent radical leftist taking control . yeah that worked out .

    Fast forward to yesterday

Trump is sitting in court bored to death . Someone at Truth Social posted a video . Trump being his impulsive self reposted it .

The video used imaginary headlines that you can find at the web here

Newspaper Vintage History Headlines Promo, Openers ft. agency & broadcast - Envato Elements

The person who created the video imagined America after a Trump victory. The idea is to take vintage news paper head lines and add your own text . The video had a Trump specific headline and borrowed fill in from old newspapers .

The actual text that put everyone's hair on fire is blurred barely legible . It read

"German Industrial Strength After 1871 Driven By The Creation Of A Unified Reich."

Trump Reich ;Reich Hitler ;Trump Hitler .

The pundits of the compliant press and the Clueless Joe operatives (including Joe ) went meltdown mode.

    Here are some examples

Donald Trump 'Unified Reich' Video Leaves People Stunned (newsweek.com)

Trump's online account promotes ‘unified Reich’ video, adding to alarming pattern (msnbc.com)

White House slams ‘sickening’ video shared by Trump referencing ‘unified Reich’ (thehill.com)

Trump posts video referencing ‘unified Reich’ if reelected | CNN Politics

You get the idea This is the new Trump said neo-Nazis are very fine people lie .

Look for Unified Reich to supplant the old tired and discredited very fine people smear .

Someone in the Trump campaign eventually told Trump that reposting it was a bad idea. He took it down but the damage was done.

He never ceases to amaze. He is his own worst enemy by being unthinkingly impulsive. It was much easier to handle eight years ago. Now it has become irritating due to the fact that he refuses to learn from his own mistakes. One of the first rules of warfare is to not provide your enemy with ammunition.

yes irritating is the right word . He leaves it to others to mop up . In March it was reported that he told General John Kelly there were things about Hitler he admired ;like rebuilding the German economy and his tough guy image.

Trump former advisers sound the alarm that he praises despots in private and on the campaign trail | CNN Politics

Doesn't matter how much damage control or putting things in context is done .

For the rest of the campaign he will be painted as the man who promised to be a dictator on day one ;who wants to establish an American reich ;and admires Hitler .
