    Windows xp pro refusses my cd/dvd & cdrw
    I add CDrw to my computer.. And now I have lost my e: drive where was shown my cd content... When I put in my cd/dvd cdrw a disck , cd/dvd cdrw just light up a bulb and that is all. I can not see cd content because my e: drive is lost. I don`t know what to do! Please help me.. :confused: :( :confused:

    Did you jumper one as master and one drive as slave?

    Yes one must be a master and one the slave, like he said

    If it is a newish computer which either the words "master" and "slave " are on the cable, or there are blue, black and a grey connectors. Also the cable is 80 strands (rather than the old 40) then this is the 'new' cable format and all drives mus be cable select (c/s)

    If all cablewd well and shows up in the bios, look in control pannel, admin tools, computer management, disk managhement and assign it a drive letter.
