    2 months late!
Please please can you help I had my last period on the 19th Feb and have not had another one since. I am trying to get pregnant so when my period was late I thought wow I've done it, however on the day I was due to come on I did a test... negative. Oh well I thought I'll probably come on soon. I didn't so I did two more tests a week apart and both were negative. 3 weeks late and I decided to go to the doctors and they did a urine test for me. This also came back negative but still 2 months down the line my period is no where to be seen. I haven't had any signs or symptons of pregnancy but I am so confused! Could Stress bring a holt to my periods for this long or should I go back to my doctors??

For starters, don't try so hard to get pregnant. You need to be relaxed for anything to happen. And yes, stress CAN influence your period. My sister had a month long period because of stress. Then she skipped a couple months. You need to relieve that stress and stop worrying so much.
When you went to the doctor, did they examine you to make sure you're okay? If so, then it's probably from stress. I'm not sure how effective those tests are all the time. Everyone's different, and everyone has fdifferent levels of hormones. Try relaxing and wait a little longer...

Yes, stress can definitely put a hold on your period. Its pretty amazing how sensitive a thing our monthly cycles can be. Stress, sickness, changes in diet, life style changes/changes in exercise methods etc. These and many other factors can all contribute to changes in your cycles. I was once late for 2 months and two weeks later I started and it went right back to normal. All for no apparent reason, other then that I was wanting to conceive so badly. I would go back to the doctors, just so that they can give you a thorough exam and make sure everything is still working the way it should. Chances are its just stress from wanting a baby so badly, and constantly wondering " if this is it?!" However, anytime you are overly late like this, it is always a good idea to consult with your doctor and make sure all is well. Good luck to you hun

Thanks to everyone who answered my question. You were right I came on a few weeks ago and the whole experience has made me realise that I do need to slow down and let nature take its course. When it happens it will happen and to everyone that has been in a similar situation to me, take note stress is a nightmare, I'm slowing down and excepting that it will happen some day. In the mean time I get to have lovely passionate sex with my gorgeous man, well that can't be bad can it hee hee take care all xxx
