Global warming is making a greener planet.
That comes from a study published in Science News.
    Quote:

Summary:Increased levels of carbon dioxide have helped boost green foliage across the world's arid regions over the past 30 years through a process called carbon dioxide fertilization, according to new research.

Other things we are told that are wrong.
Climate change is causing more frequent hurricanes.

Great Thunberg, now becoming an anti-Semite, will be devastated to find out this news, and yet it has been known for years to be true. It's also true that global temps, while rising marginally, have not gone up by the catastrophic amounts predicted twenty years ago.

Interesting insight from the Hurricanes article. "Over the years, scientists have become increasingly confident that human-caused climate change is making those conditions more uncommon — but when they do form, warmer air and ocean temperatures are making them more potent."

Katrina was a Cat 3 ;not all that unusual . The damage was done because it hit New Orleans head on and the town was poorly prepared . There have been more severe ones but how many hit landfall and caused significant damage ? Hurricane Sandy made a freak change of direction and hit NJ head on as a cat 2.

A study published by the Norwegian government’s statistical agency, written by two of its retired experts ,John K. Dagsvik and Sigmund H. Moen ,asks; are computerized climate simulations a sufficient basis for attributing observed warming to human CO2?

Their answer ;of course not .
    Quote:

In other words, the results imply that the effect of man-made CO2 emissions does not appear to be sufficiently strong to cause systematic changes in the pattern of the temperature fluctuations. In other words, our analysis indicates that with the current level of knowledge, it seems impossible to determine how much of the temperature increase is due to emissions of CO2
To what extent are temperature levels changing due to greenhouse gas emissions? (ssb.no)

Of note ; John Dagsvik recommends curbs on emissions for precautionary reasons.

The study acknowledges the so called consensus in the scientific community .

“At present, there is apparently a high degree of consensus among many climate researchers that the temperature increase of the last decades is systematic (and partly man-made). This is certainly the impression conveyed by the mass media.”

But it also points out that climate scientists are not always forthcoming with their data. Instead it appears that they actively hide data at times.

“For non-experts, it is very difficult to obtain a comprehensive picture of the research in this field, and it is almost impossible to obtain an overview and understanding of the scientific basis for such a consensus”.

There is so much disinformation and scare-mongering out there about this subject that it's difficult to arrive at the truth.
