You would think that the indictment of Trump was the only news worthy item on the docket last week .
But potentially even more important was the GOP squandering of more than a decade worth of conservative reform in the state of Wisconsin. The Soros and outsider fueled progressive backlash against reforms initiated by Scott Walker led to a stunning reversal.
Liberal Judge Janet Protasiewicz handily defeated former Justice Daniel Kelly in the race for an open seat on the state Supreme Court. This gives the progressive Dems a majority in the judiciary .
She ran in opposition to Act 10 passed in 2011 that turned the State into a right to work state . She also campaigned on redistricting, school choice, abortion, and typical lib positions on taxation.
Sorors will likely see a solid return on his investment. Protasiewicz’s victory over conservative jurist Daniel Kelly gives liberals their first majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court in 15 years. The consequences of the election are expected to be transformational for the swing state, with the new court expected to rule on a number of hotly-contested issues including the legality of "right to work," abortion access, the state’s legislature map, and voter ID laws.

Her appeal was simple . She would give progressive majorities to the state court and will work to reverse the reforms of the Walker era. She basically said ''vote for me and I’ll tip the balance of the high court against them."
Lib voters were mobilized in Madison ,Milwaukee ,and in college towns across the state . They turned out in droves while the GOP snoozed.
She made it a specific issue that she opposed the redistricting map of the state . If changed then as many as 3 Wisconsin safe GOP Congressional seats could be at play . In a close 2024 election that could be the deciding factor ,
One thing the GOP doesn't get that the Dems figured out was that all politics are local .
One more side note .... although the GOP has the right position on the abortion issue I believe ;it has proven to be an albatross around their necks. It is an issue I admit that I have no answers to. If the majority of the people want the power to wack their babies then unless they can be persuaded otherwise ,they will have the power to do so regardless of the fact that it is the death of the country .
