    Extended notation
    My child has been given a maths problem in his homework which asks him to express a 6 figure number in extended notation, we don't understand. Can anyone help.Thanks :confused:

    Example : What is the extended notation for 4 567 843 ?

    Answer : 4 000 000 + 500 000 + 60 000 + 7000 + 800 + 40 + 3
