This is a toxic cloud hovering over flyover country after a "controlled burn" of chemicals from a derailed train caused a massive toxic cloud to spread over the town of East Palestine Ohio. One of the cars contained vinyl chloride . When burned this creates hydrogen chloride and phosgene .....one of the chemicals used in WWI gas attacks . When someone breaths it in the gas prevents oxygen from entering the bloodstream and prevents CO2 from leaving .
When hydrogen chloride mixes with water it becomes hydrochloric acid. Fish and wildlife in the area is dying .Vinyl chloride is a known carcinogen linked to liver cancer.As the cloud dissipates it will enter the water supply.
