Yes he is 81 .Time to go fishing with the grandkids and great grand kids . Time to take in some Washington Nationals games on his own dime.

He wasn't always the egomaniac he became in the covid crisis . He once took the lead in the Aids epidemic ;and hit the ball out of the park.

But during covid he was self proclaimed science ;one who you dare not question.

His biggest fault was in not admitting he was wrong. He was wrong in his funding of gain of function research. He was wrong in not admitting that it may have had a role . He was wrong in suppressing any alternate theory to the contradictory statements he made throughout the pandemic..... theories like those expressed by the scientists in the Great Barrington Declaration.

He became a megastar celebrity instead of the leading health care expert. Muriel Bowser, mayor of DC said his birthday should renamed “Dr. Anthony S. Fauci Day.” He was on the cover of countless magazines .

Hopefully when he is gone ,our health care agencies can again be managed by scientists instead of publicity whores .

His attitude has spread throughout the administrative scientific community. Take for example Jane Lubchenco a science official for Clueless.
She is a champion of the dangers of climate change. She testified to Congress that climate change is the biggest threat to America's National Security . She suggested that to combat it we should close much of the world's oceans to commercial fishing. She backed it us with a published study .

Here's the problem The paper was retracted last year .The paper with very dubious conclusions was written by her brother in law....... and she editied it. The National Academy of Science saw through her and sanctioned her. Yet Clueless still retains her services. She was is the co-head of the President's Scientific Integrity Task Force!
