    Welcome back to the 70s
Inflation rising partly due to a disruption in the oil supply and the US funding social programs and a war with monopoly money. . The US bugs out of Vietnam followed a few years later by the Soviet Union invading Afghanistan ,a move that shocked the world . The naïve President who assumed he could work with the Soviets to achieve a greater world peace was shocked and abandoned that silly notion opting to assist the Afghan rebels . The US elects a strong President who doubles the US defense budget in 3 years . The American threat of deterrence was again believable

    That was the 1970s .

    Today

Inflation rising partly due to a disruption in the oil supply and the US funding social programs and a war with monopoly money . The US bugs out of Afghanistan followed by Russia's invading Ukraine ,a move that shocked the world .The naive President's idea of deterrence is to substituted real actions with threats of sanctions IF Russia invaded .Then he was shocked that Russia called his bluff. Germany had it's equally naive policies about Russia .It has promised to double it's defense budget and the west now understands the dangers of shorting it's defense obligations .

The word is about, there's something evolving,
Whatever may come, the world keeps revolving...
They say the next big thing is here,
    That the revolution's near,

But to me it seems quite clear
That's it's all just a little bit of history repeating........

    And I've seen it before
    And I'll see it again
    Yes I've seen it before
Just little bits of history repeating
