    Elon Musk wakes up
After years of accepting favorable government subsidies, he has realized that his is not the flavor of the month. Now Clueless Joe wants to prop up unionized EV manufacturing. So, even though Musk's Tesla offers union scale wages and better benefits than GM or other US union shops offer, the Build Brandon Better legislation excludes Tesla from the government piggy bank because it is not a union shop. ($12,500 tax credits for U.S. made electric vehicles made in unionized factories)

Musk is lashing out about the injustice of it all. "Honestly, I would just can this whole bill. Don't pass it" "I'm literally saying get rid of all subsidies," Of course he takes this position AFTER the subsidies for building EV charging stations was passed in the anything, but infrastructure bill already passed.

Musk's whole business model for Tesla was dependent on his rent seeking .By all appearances ,his new found appreciation of letting the markets decide smells like someone who wants to stifle the competition after getting his government gravy.
So when Advocate Of Communism criticizes him for complaining after he has taken his share ,she has a point.

We have all become so stupid. This is nothing less than me buying my car AND being forced (by taxation) to help someone else buy his car as well. Why we put up with this craziness is beyond me.

EV autos will be priced accordingly. You see Tesla's in everyone's driveway: right?

you will when they are all freebees
Oil, coal, natural gas, nuclear power, hydroelectricity. provide 98% of all the energy consumed by humans . Petroleum accounts for more than 94% of the world’s transportation fuel. Government subsidies are not going to meaningfully change that fact .
The Greenies reject all of them ;even nuclear which leaves a carbon footprint of zero.
Bottom line ;if any of the so called clean (which are not really clean) alternatives could've replaced existing energy sources they already would've done so. Government intervention would not be necessary .

Wind and solar are just wonderful except, of course, for when the sun is not shining (which is most of the time) and the wind is not blowing, which is frequent. Other than those minor irritations, they work great!!

and speaking about stupid government interventions ......

The House passed a "fee " on methane, which is in reality a tax on those who use natural gas to heat their homes, cook, some public transportation. The fee is meant to be Clueless Joe's contribution to meet Glasgow's goal to reduce global methane emissions 30% by 2030. Even before this new tax ,households were estimated to pay 30% more for gas this winter ,If enacted this new tax would add 17% more .

Who will suffer most ? The poor who the Dems claim to represent will be hit the hardest . And American LGN reduces carbon emissions . It is just a stupid decision on the Dems part .

It's true of many liberal dem initiatives. You would think the poor would catch on at some point.
