I have been on informal probation for about six months and I have it for the next 2 and a half years. Yesterday I got a possession of marijuana ticket, what is the worst thing that can happen to me for this probation violation? This is my first time getting in trouble with marijuana, so am I still able to plead diversion? I live in California... in orange county unfortunately.

You did not say what the charge was you have probation for.
It is very likely, my opinion that they will revoke your probation and you go to the judge and they will put you on a tighter probatoin now, ( not informal) for the pot most likely a fine.
