    Could I be pregnant?
I am 22 years old. My husband and myself are trying to get pregnant. I stopped taking my BC mid November of 2006. Before I started taking BC I had very irregular periods. Now every month I have had a period since being off the BC except this month April. We have had sex every weekend except like two weekends since I have been off it. Do you think that I could be pregnant since I have not gotten my period yet? I usually have my period around the 1st-9th. Please give me something to work with some body!

If you are having unprotected sex then yes you could be pregnant. I was wondering why you only have sex on the weekends. May be none of my business, but if you are trying then you should be having sex during your most fertile time, which may not be on the weekend. Don't get me wrong, sperm can live in your body for up to 5 days, but I would think you would have more of a chance if you have sex more often. Anyway, how long were you on because? I'm 24 and was on because for 8 years. I used to have periods every 2 weeks for 8-9 days. Now that I'm older they became more regular. Also, you are still young and the missed period could be just that, a missed period. Many women will miss a cycle throughout the year. Have you taken a test yet? The best time to take a hpt is one week or more after your missed period, first thing in the morning. If you still get a negative at that time you should go see your doctor. How long has it been since your last annual? You want to make sure that you are healthy before getting pregnant. Also, you should be taking a prenatal vitamin before getting pregnant. They won't help you become pregnant, but the folic acid is very important for the health of your baby. Sorry if this was all over the place. I think I'm having a case of pregnancy brain today! Good luck to you.
