My homelite trimmer will start in half choke, but when set to the run position it dies out. It also sounds underpowered and takes a few seconds to get up to speed. Any ideas, I will be more than happy to take them.

Several ideas, but first I guess it was not used much during the winter months, and if so, might have old stale gas in in, change the gas, be sure to mix the right amoujnt of oil, guess you know the ratio of gas to oil, if not, it's probably 40 or 50 to 1. Second, check the air filter if there is one, might be clogged with dust, etc. Third, change the spark plug.Quote:
