Hi, I'm going get right to the point I died my hair black around 6 months ago. I liked it at first, then I noticed this lovely brown patch of my natural hair color which is a med. Brown so I just tried to ignore it and now it's starting to grow out and I hate it so I am deciding to re-dye it a blonde (cross fingers) but my hair is still dark and I want to fade it a lot before I dye it any tips?

I am a little confused. If you dyed your hair black , of course its going to grow out. What did you think? Or am I missing something. You might be able to get something to help fade it at Sally's if they have those where you live. It is a beauty supply place

If you are trying to go from brown to blonde, then you will need to lighten your hair with bleach and then apply a toner. Anything other than that can result in a brassy or red/orange look.
