    Probation Concern
I may be placed on probation and I'm worried they will contact my work and I'll be fired, can they? Can my probation officer go to my work and call my work and tell them I was just convicted of a felony?

I would be upfront with your employer and tell them if you have been convicted of a felony. If, indeed you have been. Better that they learn about it from you than from another source, like the media or around the drinking fountain.

Whether you will lose your job or not depends on what you were convicted of.

Probation officers are not going to call your workplace to tell them that you have been convicted of something. However, it is normal while you are on probation for a probation officer to contact your employer to verify that that is where you are working. That is just something that you live with while you are on probation.

    Hello m:

I don't think your PO is going to tell your boss. I DO think, however, that one of your probation conditions will be that YOU have to tell your boss.

Nahhh. It's not going to be easy. Did you really think it was?
